Some intercultural differences are difficult to understand and explain. But there are also differences that are very easy to explain.

For example, when an American client once asked me: “Why don’t you Germans drink your beer ice-cold?”, my answer was easy: “We don’t have to. It tastes good.”

OK – of course I know that if you look hard enough, you can also find excellent beer in the USA.

But it’s certainly no coincidence that several Americans have asked me what American beer and love on the beach have in common. The answer only works in English and I won’t reproduce it here.

But if you don’t know it, feel free to ask me.
